OUR STORY
Cowlitz River Farm was born out of a deep love for nature, self-sufficiency, and high quality homegrown food. What started as a passion for raising animals and growing food for our family has grown into a working farm where we share the best of what we produce with our community. We believe in raising animals the right way--on pasture, with plenty of fresh air, space to roam and nutritious food. Our love of gardening has led us to cultivate vegetables, fruit trees, herbs and flowers, always seeking unique and flavorful varieties. Every aspect of our farm is rooted in care, respect for the land, and a commitment to producing food that is both nourishing and sustainable.

ABOUT COWLITZ RIVER FARM
Nestled near the banks of the Cowlitz River, our farm is surrounded by the natural beauty of Washington's rich farmland and abundant wildlife. We specialize in Mini-Nubian dairy goats from champion bloodlines, farm fresh eggs, hatching eggs, baby chicks, and seasonal plants and seedlings, providing high quality products for both homesteaders and home gardeners. Our small, private campground offers a peaceful retreat for fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts looking to enjoy the renowned salmon and steelhead fishing of the Cowlitz River. We are proud to be a small, family-run farm that values traditional farming practices while embracing innovation to improve the health of our soil, animals and crops.

SUSTAINABLE - HOLISTIC - REGENERATIVE
At Cowlitz River Farm, we believe that farming should work with nature, not against it. We take a sustainable, holistic and regenerative approach to caring for our land and animals. Our free-range poultry enjoy a diverse diet, including fresh fish scraps, which boost the nutrition of our eggs and strengthens our flock. We focus on soil health, biodiversity, and natural pest control to create a thriving ecosystem where plants and animals flourish. By using regenerative farming practices, we aim to improve our land each year, ensuring its fertility for future generations. Whether it's through rotational grazing, composting, no-till gardening, or selecting plant and animal breeds suited to our environment, everything we do is centered around nourishing the land, producing high-quality food, and respecting the balance of nature.
